Material Handling Position Overview:
We are seeking a Material Handling & Kitting Specialist to join our team. This hybrid role combines responsibilities of a Storeroom Attendant and a Kitting Technician, ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient kit preparation for production needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety & customer service minded, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- Monday –Thursday : 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Occasional assistance in Storeroom during lulls: Monday – Friday 7am-4pm
- Temp-to-hire opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move vehicle parts from dock to kitting area
- Verify items and compile kits with accuracy and efficiency
- Issue parts and materials using mobile devices
- Assist with cycle counting and inventory control
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Provide excellent customer service to internal teams
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Sit-Down Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbsunassisted
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Dress code: jeans or khakis, t-shirt or polo (no shorts or sweats); Steel Toes Required
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to work safely with warehouse equipment
